Frank Hayes Opinion Article about New River Valley Disability Resource Center

On July 25, just two days before the 27th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), several dozen people were arrested at the nation’s capitol building. This may seem like no news these days as activism is a national trend and tradition. But some of those hauled away were in wheelchairs or accessible scooters.

You can find the NRV DRC at 53 West Main Street, Suite A, in downtown Christiansburg, Virginia. Located on the corner of Main and Hickok.

Parking for the center can be found in two locations: behind the building (off of Hickok Street) or across the street off of Main. There is also timed parallel street parking on Main in front of the building.
