The Staff and Board at NRV DRC sincerely appreciate everyone who donated and we are so excited to share with you how these funds will be spent on NRV residents with disabilities. Be on the lookout for more information and photos in our quarterly newsletters of how these funds helped individuals gain accessibility and live independently.
NRV DRC’s Community Advocate, Varie Lynn, has been working diligently on our 3rd quarter newsletter and was even able to publish it early due to the current fundraising campaign – Give Local NRV.
We hope everyone has the opportunity to support New River Valley Disability Resource Center by giving and participating in this fundraising campaign. For those interested, Give Local NRV will be ending at the end of June 2020.
If you would like a copy of our newsletter in a different format or would like to subscribe to it either electronically or through the mail, please email Varie Lynn at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 540-266-1435. We appreciate all of your support!

2020 is the year to focus on vision – A vision the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) created 30 years ago on July 26, 1990.
The ADA Act was enacted to mandate equality and accessibility for individuals with disabilities. What better way to promote the 30th anniversary than to pay homage to what we stand for?
To celebrate the ADA and hopefully bring more momentum to this year’s fundraiser, NRV DRC’S goal for Give Local is honoring the past 30 years of disability rights and laws while looking forward to 30 more years accessibility – which is why the amount of this year’s goal is meaningful –$3,030.
Please help NRV DRC reach our goal by clicking on the ‘Give’ tab at the top of this page and donating to a great cause. We appreciate your support!
Due to the recent global pandemic and ongoing safety concerns, our office is taking every precaution necessary to ensure the well-being of our staff, our consumers, and our community. Therefore, staff are not currently working from the office and we are not taking any face to face appointments until further notice.
However, we are still serving persons with disabilities in the New River Valley from our homes during regular business hours. Please contact us at 540-266-1435 or email email@example.com with any questions or concerns. All calls and emails will be returned within one business day.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Please stay safe!
